You can archive any class you are not currently using in Fishtank Student to keep your Manage Classes page organized. Archived classes are not deleted and can be restored at any time.
When should I archive a class?
You may want to archive a class if you are no longer teaching that section, or if it was synced unintentionally from Google Classroom or Clever.
How to archive a class
- Click your profile icon bubble at the upper-right corner of the screen and select Manage Classes.

- Find the class you want to archive.
- Click the three dots next to each active classes' Class Code.
- Select “Archive” from the drop-down menu.

Once archived, the class will remain visible on your Manage Classes page and can be unarchived if needed.
How to unarchive a class
If you need to restore a class that you previously archived:
- Click your profile icon bubble at the upper-right corner of the screen and select Manage Classes.

- Scroll to the Archived Classes section
- Find the class you want to restore.
- Click the three dots next to the class code
Select Unarchive
Once unarchived, the class will move back into your active classes list and will continue syncing based on your selected rostering provider.
Changing rostering providers
If you need to switch rostering providers during the school year (for example, from Google Classroom to Clever), you can do so from the Manage Classes page.
Note: Syncing with a new provider will replace your existing classes in Fishtank Student, along with any associated class data.
